    Aqualium Spain S.L. is a company devoted to outsourced design, development and consulting in projects linked to the plastic arts, with a particular interest in the sphere of contemporaries painting and sculpture.

Our activities are geared towards both public and private sectors, always based on a scrupulous respect for the principles of fair and transparent competition, and always with the aim of cultivating the trust placed in us by our clients.

These activities cover all the stages involved in the implementation of projects linked to the plastic arts. They include the development and performance of promotional actions, such as for various kinds of exhibition, and of initiatives for making the most of all kinds of exhibition space. The company also makes, brokers and advises on commercial transactions involving artworks, promoting art collection, financial investments and corporate image enhancement. Similarly, we offer comprehensive contemporary art collection management training possibilities, both for private individuals, as well as all types of companies and institutions

Aqualium performs its activities in and outside Spain, particularly in Europe and North America.

    Managing Director
    María Porto graduated in law and began her professional career in 1992 at the Marlborough Gallery in Madrid, where she ran projects as the head of various departments. Her professional experience led her to specialize in management and consulting in the field of cultural projects and she was managing director of the Marlborough Gallery from 2000 to 2005.

She recently started up the company Aqualium, devoted to design, consulting and management in the field of cultural projects.

    Francisco Álvarez-Cascos  Madrid, 1947
    External Consulting
    After working as a civil engineer in various national Spanish companies, Alvarez-Cascos went into politics and held various public offices from 1979 to 2004.

Most recently he held the posts of 1st Vice-Premier of the Spanish Government and Head of the Cabinet Office (1996-2000), and Spanish Minister of Public Works (Transport and Infrastructure) (2000-2004)

Currently his chief activity is external consulting on strategic, economic and financial matters in the company Aqualium.
